"HARLEY!!"
A tainted voice of insanity echoed across the arcade of a seemingly abandoned amusement park. "Harley!?" The voice continued to scream until the call was answered by the bubbly jester.
"Yes boss, sir," she asked, rushing into the presence of the source of the voice of unbridled madness, the infamous Joker. The clown prince of crime addressed his partner, Harley Quinn, in an oddly civil tone, as the former psychiatrist listened with undisclosed admiration for her former patient.
"Harley," the Joker answered, "Listen, the bat is on his way. We can't just let him sneak in without saying hello, can we?" He then started to cackle, his maniacal laugh was adored by his sidekick, who smiled with delight.
The Joker's intentions were now clear to me. The concept of a shrink ray had not passed the Joker's attention. I suspected him from the moment I heard the news, and now, there he was, cradling his latest prize, the stolen prototype of a new invention called the Minimizer, with devious intentions on his depraved mind.
The Minimizer was a small handheld device, shaped in the fashion of a regular pistol, that blasted some kind of ray of light, capable of manipulating the size of any object, or person, the user desired. I knew that the Joker had to be separated from such a powerful weapon before he could cause any damage. He had to be stopped.
I watched, hidden from detection within one of the vents, as the Joker rallied his henchmen into position, preparing for the inevitable arrival of his arch nemesis, the dark knight detective. Little did he realize was that I had found a way into his hideout via the ventilation system.
Before the Joker, along with his henchmen, left the hideout and into the amusement park however, he handed the device to Harley Quinn, ordering her to stay inside to keep an eye open for me. Reluctant at first to be left alone, Harley armed herself with the device, prepared for my arrival. Now was the time to strike.
I dropped in, right before her eyes, a caped crusader cloaked within the darkness. From her point of view, all she could see were the illuminated eyes of my cowl. She pointed the weapon at me, clearly in a state of irrational fear. I was not willing to fight her, I was saving my strength for the clown. All I wanted from her was the device, but as predicted, she was too afraid to make a move. I tried to approach her carefully, trying to calm her down, but before I could touch her, I was overcome by a sudden beam of light.
Harley had fired the Minimizer at me. She hit me, and almost instantly, I felt my entire body change drastically. Everything before me grew further away from me as I started to fade further from Harley's sight. Harley was amazed by what she was witnessing, what she had done, and what she had accomplished.
When I came to, I realized the remarkable size advantage Harley Quinn now possessed over me.
