This choice: Diya is escorted to safety and Samus returns to try and finish the job. • Go Back... Samus and Diya waddled their way down the stairs only stopping to take out the odd Agarin in their way. They passed by the room with all the delicious food from earlier. They wanted so bad to stop for a quick snack, but somehow they remained steadfast in their goal to escape. They make it to the hole Samus made in the tree earlier, but it certainly wasn’t big enough to fit Samus with her slightly higher weight, let alone Diya. Despite its small size, Diya was so eager to escape that she dove in, head first through the hole causing her to get stuck.
“mmmmhhhh grrrr Help me! It’s too small.” Diya kicked her feet and pushed against the tree trying to wiggle out to no avail. “Hold on I’ll help you.” Samus first tried to push on Diya’s gigantic rear with all her might. Even if she could get a good angle to push, it was clear that the obese aristocratic daughter wasn’t going to budge. They both started to hear marching coming from down stairs. A whole bunch of guards were coming. Samus would have to do something fast so they wouldn’t get caught.
“Diya? I’m going to need you to listen closely keep perfectly still. I’ll get you out and when I do we’re going to start running as fast as we can, ok?” “Alright, but please hurry! If I get stuffed like that again I’m gonna explode!” Samus pulled out her pistol and started making a larger hole around the one Diya was stuck in. She was careful not to clip her, but she’d have to be fast not to get caught.
“tch Were not gonna make it at this rate. Diya just sit tight I have a plan!” The pudgy bounty hunter turned up the power of her pistol to max and began firing at the stairs in front of her. As they were filled with holes, the stairs began to crumble and fall. Debris tumbled, hitting some armored soldiers and and leaving a wall of rubble impeding their forward movement. Samus went back to making the hole until, success! Diya tumbled onto the ground outside the tree, with a little bit of bark till stuck to her massive gut.
Samus climbed out of the tree and the both of them began running to her ship as fast as their jiggly bodies would let them. “huff puff wheez Di- puff did we lose them?” Diya could no longer run. All she could muster was a slow waddle. Though Samus may have been thinner, relatively, the chunky blonde bounty hunter wasn’t fairing any better either. “huff puff I think we lost them we can rest now.” Diya flopped her fat back onto the floor causing a bit of a shake in the ground.
“huff puff Hey gulp you’re a pretty cool bounty hunter… Thanks for saving me.”
“hmh Don’t mention it.”
“Hey how much are my parents paying you to save me?”
“Sorry I forgot. I wasn’t really in it for the money. I’m already pretty well off as is.”
“You mean you just took the job because you liked helping people? That’s pretty awesome!”
“Well hold on, I didn’t say all that! I mean I guess I take whatever job crosses my desk, but this time I was also worried about cutting down on some weight.”
“You mean you weren’t always fat?”
“hahaha No I wasn’t always fat! I was quite muscular actually, but the universe was just kinda low on bounties for a while and I got into some bad habits. Now we have the butterball bounty hunter that struggles to stand before you!”
“Well regardless of how big you are, you’re still one of the coolest bounty hunters ever!”
Samus looked down at her pudgy body and felt some validity in her observation. She may be a little squishier than she used to, but she was still Samus Aran! “Thanks Diya… I needed that… Now come on let’s get you home.” She tried to get up but it was clear she wasn’t moving anywhere at her weight, without some help. Samus gave her her hand and as soon as she was up they headed for the ship.
Diya got in a drop pod in the ship and got ready to finally go home. “Thank you Samus Aran! I’ll never forget you! Please come visit sometime.” Without a word Samus launched her pod back home. “Thanks Diya… I just might after this mission.”
After a quick big lunch break on the ship, Samus made her way back to the tree to finish the job! She noticed the hole she made earlier was already fixed. She pulled out her pistol and made a new one. This time it would definitely be big enough to accommodate for her larger body. Things weren’t any odd normal when she entered. The stairs she had toppled were completely fine as well! “Damn, Ergon must have some amazing carpenters.”
Samus crept down the stairs, checking every room for her target. She found an armory, a barracks, and even a mess hall. There was no one inside so she had a little snack before going back to her hunt. Ten minutes later she exited the mess hall, satisfied and a little bigger.
Eventually she found a rather odd looking door with all sorts of intricate carvings. Opening the door she saw a gold suit of armor, the over sized gauntlets decorated with some strange blue gems. Inside was the familiar pink tendons stretched across the armor, of an Angarin in.
“So we meet at last Ergon!” Samus readied her pistol to fire. “So one angel escapes and another stumbles into her place. Fate has an interesting way of playing with our emotions.” Ergon’s deep corse voice reverberated throughout the room. “Great, the pompous, kidnapping dictator has some poems to share. Listen I don’t have time to watch you write about your feelings so why don’t you just come along quietly and we can shut down this kooky cult.”
Ergon stood up to face the bounty hunter. His gaudy armor making his figure quite imposing. “We will go nowhere with an incomplete angel!” Samus’ eye brow raised with confusion. “What do you mean angel?” Ergon paced about the room, in order to give his beliefs more gravitas.
“When I was a newly split set of cells, I had a vision. In this vision a large blonde woman with eyes of emerald and sapphire dancing in one, extended her arm out to me and my people. She whispered to me that she would take us to heaven if only she were sufficiently worshipped her and help her ascend to godhood. When I snapped from the vision, I knew that my purpose in life was to find and worship the perfect angel! Thus we searched the universe for our angel, and an angel the universe gave us. Diya the angel! We were devastated when you took her from us; however, seeing you now is sobering. It makes me notice her faults as an angel. She lacked the fire you exhibit here. We mourned her lost momentarily; however, I knew that fate doesn’t just take for no reason. Fate has taken our angel and in exchange gave us a better one, a perfect angel! You will be the perfect angel, take us to heaven and become a god!”
“Alright I’m done listening to your religious babble. Ergon you’re coming with me, and we’re shutting down your cult!” Though Ergon didn’t have any facial features it was clear she offered him. “You think you can stop me?!? Go ahead try if you dare! I will defeat you and forgive your violent actions as you are the angel we’ve been looking for!” The gems on his gauntlets began to glow as he got ready to pacify his “angel”. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
