"Finally !", said Nami out loud, "An island of the New World where the entire island doesn't want us dead ! I mean, I expected everything to be hard once we got out of Fishman Island, but I couldn't have one second to breathe, on or off the ship ! Oh well, the others are out buying books, ship parts, and whatnot, so time to make buisness."
After managing to get 3 bags of clothes for less than 500 berries, she came across a mysterious old stand with an old lady guarding it.
"Halt, young lady !" said the shop owner, stopping Nami in her tracks. "I see many things going in your heart. Kindness, loyalty, and the will to help your friends. But all of that, is being corrupted by a greed you should have stopped having a long time ago. But with this item- HEY !"
Nami, who was already walking away, turned back.
"I'M TRYING TO GET YOU AN ITEM THAT WILL MAKE YOU MORE USEFUL TO YOUR TEAM !!!"
"Is it free ?" said Nami with wide eyes.
"Greed will not make you prevail, young lady", said the owner, but she saw Nami pout, and sighed. "But yes, it is free."
"Deal !", said the enthusiastic Nami. The owner then took out a gold necklace, with the shape of a tiny heart attached upon. "So... how does it work ?"
"Once you start using it, you will be able to control its powers and reverse them. To increase your power, only one thing to do : Open your heart to others, and their smiles will be your reward."
"What, but that's completely ridi-", Nami said, but saw that the entire stand had disappeared. She was surprised, but she didn't especially care, it was free after all. She decided to put it immediately, and suddenly a flash occured. She felt a warm feeling inside, but nothing happened.
"She scammed me ! Wait, no she didn't, it was free. Oh well, the necklace is pretty"
With that, Nami got back on the ship, thinking about the words of this old lady...
