Lunchtime rolled around and you and Ramona were in the lunch area looking for a place to sit. You turn to look to your right and you bump right into somebody. It was Chloe.
"Oh, hello." you say.
"Hi." she says back. "We've got to stop meeting like this."
"Anyway," Ramona says. "I see an empty table over there. Wanna sit with us, Chloe?"
"Sure." she says.
So the three of you spent lunch together, talking and laughing. You felt so good having Chloe around you. She had a presence about her that you found very attractive. At the end of the day you, Ramona, and Chloe meet up at the front door of the school, then somebody comes along that ruins your mood: Luke.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he asks you.
"What are you blabbering about, Luke?" you ask, not in the mood.
"You're hanging out with MY girlfriend!" he says.
Chloe lets out a frustrated sigh while rubbing her temple. "We've been over this, Luke." she said. "I'm not your girlfriend, I never was, and I never will be."
You and Ramona stifled some giggles.
"She's right." Ramona says after getting herself together." You've been saying that Chloe was your girlfriend since middle school. You know that you're not getting any. Give it up, already."
Luke turns red and walks away without another word. The three of you laugh as you leave the school building.
"Well, my mom's picking me up in a few minutes." Chloe says. "I'll see you guys tomorrow."
"Bye." you and Ramona say.
As the two of you began to walk back home, you tell Ramona: "Man, Chloe is so cute."
"Ask her out, then." she says.
"What? I can't do that!" you say.
"Why?"
"Because then she'll think that I'm coming on to strong, then she won't like me, and then our friendship would be all weird and-"
"Okay, you need to pull yourself together." Ramona interrupts. "Chloe's not the type of girl that would embarrass you if she rejected you. The worst thing that she'd do is say no."
"I guess you're right." you say. You approach Chloe and you begin to pop the question.
"Chloe, I was wondering..." you begin, "if you would like to hang out somewhere on Friday night."
