Olivia was Jackie’s best friend in college. She and Jackie were basically inseparable back then before you met Jackie. She seemed nice enough… but she was nowhere near as attractive as Jackie. Unlike Jackie, who was a tall blonde with generous sized breasts; Olivia was short and somewhat pudgy woman of Mediterranean decent.
Early on in your relationship with Jackie, it was clear that Olivia had an unhealthy obsession with you. Despite all of this, Jackie still kept a close relationship with Olivia through the rest of you college days. Jackie always rationalized to you that either Olivia was just messing with you or that those thoughts were just in your head.
After college, Jackie and Olivia parted ways as both of them got jobs at different companies as human resource specialists. Luckily you didn’t have to see Olivia very often. But you suspected that they still stayed in touch.
----
As the bright light died down, your eyes came back into focus to see Olivia and Jackie standing in front of each other looking dazed and disoriented. You rushed to your soon to be wife’s side and grab her hand and ask “Are you alright, Jackie?”
Jackie blinked a few times and seemed to be confused. She pulled her hand out of yours and inspected her splayed hands in front of herself.
Olivia meanwhile composed herself and said “Ger, why am I in Olivia’s body?”
Turning your head towards Olivia, you saw the woman that you didn’t really care for feeling up her face before examining her bulging gut.
Forming a serious look on your face, you told whom you thought was Olivia “Olivia, this is not time for games. Today is Jackie’s and my wedding day.”
Before you were able to ask Olivia to leave, Jackie had finished composing herself and spoke. “Gerry, she is telling the truth. Somehow Jackie and I switched bodies.”
You couldn’t believe it. It had to be real though. Jackie would never try something like this on a day as big as this. Looking towards Jackie-in-Olivia’s body you asked “How do we fix this?”
Jackie scrunched up her face in displeasure as she looked down past the purple dress she was now wearing and to the orb that was on the floor. “The orb is completely broken…” she trailed off as she looked up at Olivia in her body who did a great job at hiding any excitement in her new face.
You and your mismatched bride spent a few minutes picking up pieces of the orb and attempted to put it back together while Olivia just stood there quietly and watched. “It’s no use Ger. The ceremony is supposed to start in an hour and this thing looks done.” Jackie told you as she kneeled on the floor with two broken pieces of the orb in each hand.
Turning towards Olivia-in-Jackie’s body you asked “What are you even doing here? This is our dressing room.”
Olivia looked taken aback in Jackie’s beautiful form. “I’m sorry Gerry, I didn’t know you would be here. I just stopped by to see if Jackie needed any help getting ready for her big day.”
You didn’t buy it. But, before you could say anything, Jackie spoke up “It isn’t her fault Ger. She couldn’t have known about that weird orb someone gave us.”
Jackie sighed as she looked over her now fleshy shoulder and caught a glimpse of her new reflection. She was now barely five feet tall with a curvy and heavyset body. Her tanned skin and black hair was almost the polar opposite of what she had known for whole life. She wore a purple dress that looked like it was trying to hard to flatter her now pudgy form. Jackie continued to look at the mirror as she prodded the bulging gut she now possessed.
Meanwhile, Olivia stared and silently admired you while your attention was on your poor fiancé. Olivia got both your attentions by asking “So what are we going to do?”
Jackie spoke up before you. “We don’t have any choice. Olivia will have to be me for the wedding and we’ll figure out something after.”
“Are you sure? We can postpone the wedding…” you asked
“No. Everybody is already here and it took forever to plan. Everything is set, so Olivia won’t have to do much other than say “I do” when the time comes.” Jackie explained.
Olivia smiled up at you with her now blue eyes as she wrapped one of her arms around your waist. Jackie was right you thought. There wasn’t much you could do without stopping the wedding.
“Gerald, I need you to step outside while I get Olivia ready.” Jackie told you.
