"Oh hey Kurenai-sensei, how are you?" Naruto asked as the red-eyed former jonin instructor smiled at him.

"I'm pretty good Naruto. A little lonely though now that Shikamaru has taken to training my little boy all the time."

"What? He's already training him? Isn't your son only three?"

"Four." Kurenai corrected. "But Shikamaru says he owes it to Asuma to ensure that Asuma's son is the greatest ninja to ever live."

"Wow, I would've thought something like that would be too troublesome for Shikamaru." Naruto chuckled.

"You would think." Kurenai agreed with a smile of her own.

"Well your son is in good hands with Shikamaru."

"I know." Kurenai agreed. "I just wish I had someone to spend my time with." She said as she looked at Naruto with a strange look in her eyes.

"Umm... well... what about your old team?"

"Not what I had in mind Naruto."

"What do you have in mind then?" Naruto asked nervously.
