Chapter #6At the Hyuuga compound by: Viraqua Ino and Naruto sat across from one of the most intimidating men in Konoha....or, what should be. You could see the worry written on his face.
" So, you haven't seen Hinata since yesterday?", Ino asked in shock. Honestly, she thought this was just going to turn into cheering up a sick Hinata or something.
"That is correct. She has done this before, but not with her sister as well"
"Hanabi is missing as well??", Ino asked in shock.
"Indeed. She followed Hinata to the Hokage Tower to watch her turn in her paperwork to have Uzumaki-san made her slave"
Both blondes nodded.....and then turned blue.
"Wh-what....her slave?", Naruto asked in cold shock.
"Indeed. I was shocked as well, considering how many other males out there would have been a much better choice", he replied with a condescending barb at Naruto.
Ino quickly got back on track, " So, we should see if Tsunade-sama has seen her. Thank you for telling us Hiashi-sama".
"Indeed. I will be calling Anbu to look for her soon though. I do not need both of my daughters playing this childish game", he replied as he got up and left.
*Outside the Hyuuga compound*
"...Well, that was fun. I guess we should stop looking-"
"Oh, no! We're not giving up on this juicy case!", Ino grabbed him by the collar as he tried to get a way.
"What?! Why the hell would I want to look for a girl that wants to make me her slave?! Especially one who "confessed" to me and I never replied to?", he questioned with air quotes.
" Why didn't you reply to her confession?", Ino asked in accusation. Naruto turned to her.
" Simply put, she's cowardly when it comes to anything to do with me. She stalked me all the way through the Academy, but never even tried to approach me. After the academy, the few times we did speak to eachother, she was so meek it was frustrating. Even when I got back from my training trip, she would faint if I even touched her. And her "confession".....good god. The only way she could tell me how she felt, was right before she knew she was going to die. That confession nearly tore my heart out when it happened, but after she was revived, I waited for her to approach me again, to ask what my answer was, to reconfirm what she had said, hell, to slap me and demand to know why I never answered her....but, she never did. That's when I realized why she was able to confess, and it made me so angry, I've hardly talked to her since."
Ino stood in stunned silence. She, had never seen it that way, and, yet, it all made perfect sense. He knew all along about Hinata. But why didn't he approach her?
"Why didn't you go after her like you did Sakura?"
Naruto scoffed, " I don't want a meek girl I have to hold up as her " pillar of support", or be the slave of the "upgraded" brat she has turned into......though, over recent years, I've realized I don't want an overly abusive girl either. I just want a girl that can stand up on her own and keep me in line when it's called for, without the chakra enhanced punches that leave me with memory gaps", he admitted.
"That makes sense", Ino agreed.
"Oh, and can cook really well"
"-Egh-"
"And is really cute"
"Okay Cassanova, I get the point!"
"Especially when she's mad-Oww!", he yelped out as she jabbed him in the ribs again.
"Stop flirting and start moving Watson. To the Hokage Tower!", she diverted, and, yet, she could hardly keep the smirk off her face.
indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
