Naruto wasn't the most knowledgeable person in the world but he wasn't a complete moron. Surely a signed agreement when drunk couldn't be legally binding. He didn't know for sure but he figured he should find out.
He went to the Hokage tower and went to see Shizune.
"Hey Shizune do you have a moment? I have a legal issue to talk with you about."
Shizune tilted her head quizzically. "Oh, I have a few moments what is this about?"
Naruto suddenly got nervous. He didn't want to broadcast his absurd and deranged fantasies. He squirmed a bit and then decided to keep it vague. "Is a written agreement legally binding if the person was intoxicated or drugged when they signed it?"
Shizune pursed her lips. "Ah that's actually a great question. If you are to become the next Hokage you need to learn about such matters." Naruto waited impatiently for Shizune's answer, he was fidgeting quite a bit, this was his life that was on the line, he didn't have time for a lecture!
"Legally speaking a contract is only binding if the signature is witnessed by a third party. That third party will confirm that all participants int he contract were of sound mind when they agreed to it. Was this contract even signed in front of a witness? It would have their signature on the reverse side of it."
Naruto strained to think. Had there been someone else? Or was it just him and Sakura. As he struggled to remember through his hazy drunken memories Shizune asked curiously. "Did you sign something Naruto? What's going on?"
Naruto was suddenly back in the present and he sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "Well, uh, you see I really should get going..."
