Just as Naruto felt something the moment Tenten took out that whip, Tenten felt something herself, it wasn't a rush of power like her chakra increasing or something like that, it was more like a rush of confidence. She knew Naruto was going soft and using her to throw weapons he never used around, but with the whip, she was capable of hitting him. Could she do it even if he was trying his best?
Although it logically didn't make sense, his speed and stamina were way too great to submit to this random non legendary weapon, Tenten for some reason felt that yes, she could beat him, or at least hurt him again. And her competitive and proud nature meant she had to test that, even if things go wrong for her. But to make Naruto take her seriously, she would have to do a bit of a risky deal.
"What's wrong Naruto?" The weapon mistress teased "Do you fear the whip?" She made a little taunting pose for fun, legs separated, one hand on her hip and her other hand relaxed holding the whip casually. And she smiled internally, because she could see that was having an effect on Naruto
"Sorry, I just got distracted, won't happen again" Naruto gave his usual grin but Tenten could see behind that, his body expression was definitely saying "it might happen again"
"I know you got distracted so let's make this interesting" Tenten said "You go at full strength to evade my attacks, and if I don't hit you after 5 minutes then I'll do whatever you want for 2 whole days"
"EHH?" Naruto couldn't believe what he was hearing, what a weird bet! Tenten definitely knew that if Naruto went at 100% she would be completely hopeless, she wouldn't touch him at all! Was she offering herself to him or something? What would he even make her do? What was off the table?
"Anything?" Naruto asked with disbelief
"Yes, anything. But if I land a hit, you do whatever I want for 2 whole days" Tenten smiled. Now this should get his attention, and from what she knew about Naruto he wouldn't ask something weird from her because she knew the poor guy was head over heels for Sakura who didn't like him that way. To be fair she had no real plans for him either if she won, but at least it would be funny to boss him around for a bit, AND more importantly, it would prove it was on her growth as a ninja and not on Naruto taking her easy
"Get ready Naruto, the time starts now" Tenten advanced with what was becoming her new favourite weapon now
