As the bright light died down and their vision had cleared, the group quickly noticed several changes. For one, their positions had been moved around, and everyone was standing somewhere else. Somewhere that someone else had been standing before the flash of light.
Other than their scrambled positions, there was another noticable change: Their clothes. Somehow, they had all swapped clothing amongst themselves. Yusei was now dressed like Luna, Akiza like Leo, Jack like Sherry, Crow like Carly, and vice versa for all of them. But despite size differences between them, such as with Yusei and Luna, their clothes fit comfortably, as if they had been made for their new wearers. There was also other strange differences, such as Yusei's crimnal mark not being on his face, and instead was on Luna's.
"W-what just happened?" Leo asked with disbelief.
"I don't know. Why are we all wearing each other's clothes?" Luna questioned.
"Uh, guys." Carly said, getting everyone's attention. "You might want to see this." she said and everyone gathered around her. What she had wanted them to see was a photograph of Team 5D's. However, there was a big difference in this picture compared to what they remembered. For one, their positions had completely changed. At the center of the picture had originally been Yusei, Jack, Crow, and Aki in their racing suits, but now instead had Luna where Yusei had been wearing his racing suit, Sherry where Jack had been dressed in his, Carly in place of Crow, and Leo in place of Akiza. Off to the side stood had originally been Leo and Luna, but now had Akiza and Yusei respectively in their place.
"What is wrong with this picture?" Jack demanded.
"Its not just that one." Sherry said. "All of the other picture are just like it."
"But why?" Crow said as he took off the glasses that were on his face, only to have his vision blur without them, so he reluctantly put them back on his face.
"Hey, the picture aren't the only things different." Akiza said. "Take a look at the Duel Runners." As the looked over, Jack's, Crow's, and Sherry's looked normal. However, Yusei and Akiza's were now smaller, looking like they were made for someone of Luna and Leo's size. "And not just that, but look at this." she said, holding up her arm to show her Signer Mark. However, instead of her own claw mark, it was instead Leo's heart mark. Everyone else looked over to their arms. Jack and Crow no longer had any marks, while Luna now had Yusei's head mark, Yusei had her claw mark, Leo had Akiza's claw mark, and Sherry had Jack's wings mark while Carly had Crow's tail mark.
"Just what is going on here?" Sherry wondered in confusion.
"I'm not sure." Yusei said. "But its almost like we've all somehow switched places with one another. Like we now have the lifes of each other instead of our own."
"But thats impossible!" Leo said.
"It should be, but somwhow, it looks like thats the case." Crow said. "I mean, its hard to deny all the proof."
