Apply for a part-time job with the babysitting ...

You could use some money so you tear off one of the strips of paper with contact details at the bottom of the advertisement and find somewhere quiet to call.

"Hell, Happy Baby Babysitting." A woman answers. "How can I help you."

"Hi." you say. "I'm calling about the part-time job."

"Please hold while I transfer you through to the manager." The voice says.

"Hello." the manager answers. "This is Harriet Davidson."

"Hi." you repeat yourself. "My name is Emma, I was interested in the part-time job you were advertising."

"We have very high standards for our staff at Happy Baby Babysitting." She says.

"I babysat for a few of our neighbors." you offer. "I can give you their details, I'm sure they will give me good references."

"That won't be necessary." She says. "We have a very thorough training program. By the end of it we will know if you are the sort of person we are looking for."

You arrange to meet Harriet at her office after class on Monday then return to your room.

You find another girl, unpacking.

"Hi." she introduces herself. "I'm Sophia."

"I'm Emma." you reply. "I guess you're my roommate."

You chat as she finishes unpacking. She seems like a nice person.

You have the following choices:

1. Tell her about the babysitting job.
