"I'll take it. Perhaps it will bring me good luck." Becky said as George tossed her the ring like a coin. Becky had been dropping hints to George the last few weeks about getting married, but it seems he hadn't taken the hint. The tour started in the center of the town begining with the fountain. While Mark barely paid attention to to Madison and began to look at other women in his surroundings when Lauren wasn't looking at him. Lauren was attentive to Madison, even asking her a few detailed questions about the town. Becky and George couldn't believe someone like Mark would be staring at other women while his wife was right beside him.
After they were finally done at the fountain Simon took them on a stroll throughout town. Becky first walked with George next to her, but soon Becky was walking next to Lauren while George talked with Mark. It seemed that they both supported for the same football team and they couldn't stop talking about it.
"Did you just notice that?" Lauren asked Becky. "I believe that was a statue of the founder of this town and Madison didn't even mention it.". "I'm lucky you're here to fill me in." Becky said relieved.
"It's a shame. I wanted to know more about how this town started." Lauren said mumbling. Becky gave Lauren a look that said she agreed with her.

Becky thought it was a sweet idea; probably because she wanted to get married herself one day. Mark was a successful junior business executive to a multinational shipping company, though Lauren didn't like that his work seemed more important than her. Becky wondered why this couple even got married if their marriage fell apart within a year. Talking a bit more, Lauren was planning to file for divorce if Mark didn't show any improvement to her by the end of their vacation.
After the tour was finished the group came back to the fountain. Both Mark and George went into a nearby cafe to get some drinks for them all. Becky and Lauren sat down on the edge of the fountain for some womanly talk.
"You're so lucky Lauren. I wish I was married and expecting my first baby." Becky said wishfully.
"I envy your life too Becky. I wanted more with my life than being a housewife to an ungrateful husband." Lauren said. "You actually get to be with a man that loves you and not just your body when he happens to be around."
"Hey Lauren, check out what I found before the tour started." Becky said as she grabbed the ring from her pocket.
"It's beautiful. Can I take a closer look at it?" Lauren said. When Lauren grabbed it...
