This choice: The next week (Chris keeps growing faster) • Go Back...Chapter #3What a Difference a Week Makes! by: citywalker Nate wasn't exactly the most observant guy out there, and it took a full week before he noticed that his brother was growing, and growing fast. Chris, meanwhile, had to fight to keep himself from trying to jump Nate again, knowing that time was on his side. Each day, he seemed to be growing at a faster rate. The first night, he grew an inch taller; the next, two inches. By the fourth night, he had passed five feet tall, and he was having a lot of trouble fitting in his clothes. He solved that the next day by sneaking into Nate's room and "borrowing" some of his. Chris was lucky that Nate had an overnight trip with the football team that weekend, because by the end of the week, his brother's clothes weren't even big enough.
Finally, after a week had passed, Nate returned home and went up to his room. Chris was now over six and a half feet tall, a good head above his brother. He knew that he could take him in any kind of fight or struggle. He flung open Nate's bedroom door and stepped in, wearing Nate's favorite football jersey, which was stretched across his chest and didn't quite cover all of his stomach.
"What do you think you're--" Nate's words stopped as he saw his younger brother standing before him, now significantly bigger than he. "What the--" he stuttered, too stunned to speak.
"Hey, Nate," Chris said in a very casual tone, "I had to borrow some of your clothes while you were gone. I hope you don't mind." He flashed a grin at his brother, flexing his muscles slightly to make a subconscious point.
"Uh..." Nate didn't answer, not sure what to say. He had always been the dominant brother due to his significant size and age advantage, but at least one of those things had disappeared. He just hoped that Chris would still respect him for being the older brother and wouldn't do anything too rash. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
