Chapter #6

Knothole Kingdom

You finally decide 'You know what, screw it, I've got to find help before nightfall, and if I don't, then

I'll just make some sort of make-shift campsite out of whatever I can find' you think to yourself. “I'll

just have to be careful” you say to yourself as you begin to lightly jog for a minute. You then pick up

the pace and begin to run for a while. 'Huh' you think 'That's strange, all this running and I'm not even

the least bit tired.....I wonder'. As you think this you start running as fast as you can. When you do,

what you see surprises you, you're fast as hell! “HOLY CRAP”! You say out loud as you come to a

stop. You look at your new body from top to bottom. “Well, I guess this body has it's advantages” you

say as you take a running stance and SCWHOOM begin running at such a fast pace you are leaving a

trail of yellow light behind you. “THIS IS AWESOME”!!! You say as you zoom across the grassy

plains. At this new pace it takes no time at all for you to see what looks like a city ahead. You stop to

look at it from a distance to see if you should seek help there. As you look closer you see a sign that

says “Knothole Kingdom” you look down upon this kingdom to see a wide array of houses and markets

along the streets as well as it's many inhabitants, all encompassed by a large protective wall. However,

what really catches your attention is the gigantic castle in the middle of it all. “It certainly looks

promising enough” you say as you approach it. As you reach the entrance to the kingdom you are

confronted by two guards who look like rhinos. “Halt”. Says the one on the right. “State your

business”. “I was hoping I could get some help” you reply. “You see, I woke up in some field after I

was sucked through a weird po-” “That's enough”! exclaims the one on the left as he interrupts you.

“We will have you escorted to the Princess, she will decide your fate”. “But first we will need to

confiscate your sword and bag” The one on the right says as he goes to grab your sword. You step back

placing a hand on the blade “No one...touches...the sword” you say with a serious look on your face.

The two guards grab their axes, ready to take it by force if necessary. “Hold it”. Says another voice

from above you. You look up to see another guard but in a different colored armor on top of the wall.

“Let him keep it” he says “If he tries anything we'll take him down”. “Yes sir” say the guards in front

of you in unison. “Private Briggs, Private Staple”! Yells the one on the left. Two more guards run up

and salute him. “Yes sir”! They both say. “Escort him to the Princess so that she may pass judgment”.

Says the guard while looking at you. “Yes sir” they say again. “Follow us” says one of them. You nod

and begin to do so, while still staying on your guard. You look back up to the guard on top of the wall,

remembering what he had said before 'If he tries anything we'll take him down' you think. 'As if you

could' while keeping one hand on your blade just in case. You continue to make your way to

the castle all the while being watched and observed by the citizens. “What's their problem”? You ask

one of the guards in front of you. “The people here are always suspicious of newcomers, don't take it

personally”. She replies. “I guess I can't blame them, considering the way I look” you say looking at

your torn martial arts uniform. “You look fine to me” replies the female guard as she winks at you.

“Uh, thanks” you say while the other guard just rolls his eyes at his comrades behavior. What happens

now? Do you make it to the castle without a hitch, or is there going to be trouble?
