"QuickSilver? QuickSilver where'd you go?" you call, "I brought midday." You hear a shrill whistle behind a few trees. You go over to her and see a few stones in front of her.
"What are you doing?" QuickSilver arranges the stones into a star and trills. The stones glow and spark.
"Wow. Can you make it any brighter?" QuickSilver shakes her head.
"Oh well, come on let's eat." QuickSilver jumps up and draps herself around your shoulders as you walk back to camp.
"You know you're getting to big to sit there," you mutter. You put her down next to your bow and quiver of arrows.
"What do you want? A lizard or some bird I shot?" QuickSilver gives an inquiring whistle, you know what she's asking.
"No I don't know what kind of bird it is, what do you want?" QuickSilver snatches the lizard out of your hand, and nearly takes your hand with it.
"You know you could just tell me," you grumble and start a fire, to cook your bird.
While you cook your bird and QuickSilver licks her claws you hear a sound. It sounds like humans.
"QuickSilver we might have company get ready." You reach for your bow and arrows.
"I'll go check it out, you stay here." You set out toward the sound, arrow ready to fire.
