"Regina! Dammit woman stop!" Keller argued as he attempted to force the barrel of the gun back in his direction unfortunately for the eager man of science it was too little too late for the gamma-empowered blast shot out of the weapon towards a location entirely different from his own.
"Regina my dear girl do you have any idea what you've just done?"
"Me? Professor what is this thing and what was that?"
The young woman couldn't believe he had the audacity to blame her for what had just occurred!
Meanwhile far away yet near where the mighty Avengers were stationed the gamma shot was moments away from raining down on an unsuspecting member...the size-shifting Ant man (as well as Giant man) Hank Pym!
Lucky for Pym his wife Janet Van Dyne, The (winsome) Wasp, was nearby and almost as if she her own version of a spider-sense Jan turned instinctively over horrified to spot the beam heading in Hank's direction!
Yelling out to him, which caught the ear of the other avengers nearby, Janet leaped into the air and with everything she had shoved her husband to one side, the gamma blast would not reach Hank this day but the same couldn't be said for Janet.
The Wasp yelled out in utter agony as the beam had struck her dead on, the dark spandex wearing brunette fell to the ground below with a sickening plop as her slim yet slightly build body had absorbed the entirety of the gamma fired. Still the super heroine tossed and turned against the effects of her body structure altering and changing in ways that so foreign even to someone like her that had the same size-changing abilities of her husband.
Speaking of Hank he instantly rushed to Janet's side concerned written all over his masked face while Captain America left the charge into finding who or what was responsible for the attack on Wasp. Hawkeye and Black Widow attempted to the masses not only in peace but clear from the fallen avenger, while Iron Man would join Pym's side to analyze Wasp's vitals.
Back with the professor Keller had come to realize that his assistant's interference had just caused an even larger foul-up then he had first imagined. An Avenger had been hit with gamma radiation if they were to find out it was because of him his days of living an average life, or any sort of life for that matter, were numbered. He was just about to pull away when Regina again got in his way stating that she could vaguely overhear someone speaking, that someone was Tony Stark.
"Hank, Janet's vitals they're sky-rocketing!"
"What's happening to her, Tony?" the worried hero asked hoping pleading that Stark had any sort of answer, while a man of science the overwhelming concern for Jan's well-being was busy clouding his mind from any sort of proper thinking.
Before the iron-suited hero could answer their eyes fell back to Janet as she yelled once more and it was suddenly becoming apparent what was happening to her.
"She's becoming like me."
The Hulk explained suddenly appearing out of nowhere, this sort of transformation was nothing new to Hulk or Bruce Banner for that matter.
"What?!"
Pym and Stark couldn't believe what the green giant had just stated yet the two of them could now see Janet's painful struggle as the gamma truly began to take hold and the once small brunette's body was beginning to engorge and grow with a new startling amount of muscle.
