"This might come in handy for you in the years to come, Jon." Jumping in, the teacher said.
The girls in your group began to giggle only they fell silent when you blurted out, "That's confidential and you know it! I can sue you for saying that!"
"Okay! What is going on?!" Taken back, Rachael demanded.
You sighed. "Not here..." Whispering, you said.
Rachael sighed and pulled you into a closet of the classroom and closed the door. "Tell me." Serious, she ordered. "I have to say something after dragging you in here."
"I have a rare genetic condition called Y-chromosome deficiency." Tearing up, you explained. "Basically, my body does not have enough Y-chromosomes to push my body through puberty so its relying only on my X-chromosomes, reversing my gender."
Rachael's eyes widened; she was clearly stunned by the news. "What?!"
Frowning, you pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Rachael. It was a letter from your doctor, explaining your condition. It read:
We are all inherently female at the fetal state. One just needs the X chromosome introduced at a certain level of development to make one male. However, in rare cases, not enough is introduced and the person reverts back to the female state.
"Oh wow!" Shocked, Rachael whispered. "So, you are really slowly becoming a girl?"
You nodded. "I was hoping to wait with dealing with girl's clothing and such after summer vacation when my family plans to move to another state where no one knows me."
"That's rough, Jon." Wincing, Rachael said. Then, after a thought, she smiled. "Still, I think we can help you get ready for this transition!"
"What?!" Stunned, you asked.
"We're an open minded school!" Smiling, Rachael said. "We can help you adjust to this change and you will not have to spend all summer trying to learn how to be a girl. What do you say?"
Before, you could utter your response, Rachael dragged you out of the closet to face the class. "If you don't tell them, I will."
