She tries to get back home

After making the footsteps had passed, Lauren stepped out of the supply closet. She held one hand across her chest and the other cupped over her most private of areas. She peered gingerly out the window. There was still about an hour before the start of school, so there were only a few students outside. Lauren walked over to the door, the tile floor sending chills up her spine. Opening the door, she looked into the hallway to see nobody.
Venturing further outwards, she was greeted by the air conditioner which made the experience much more unpleasant.
Finally she stepped into the sun outside. The gentle breeze and warmth of the morning rays felt refreshing on Lauren's naked body. To her left she saw an unguarded fence that she could probably jump with some effort, and peeking around the corner to her right she saw the gym block. Before she had time to think, however, she heard the sounds of two voices coming in her direction.
