Howard knew that if he and his friends had any chance of getting back to their normal size, he would have to get Bernadette attention. And there was no way she would mistake her 'Howwy' for a bug. She studied tiny living things all the time, she would know he was her boyfriend.
With this in mind, Howard runs off after his gigantic girlfriend. "Bernadette! Berny! Down here!" he shouts up to her as loudly as he can.
Leonard, Sheldon and Raj , who had made it to the safety found beneath the coffee table only watch as Howard attempts to get his giant girlfriend's attention.
"Who knew Howard would be brave enough to go running off after someone so much bigger then us?" Leonard asks in an impressed manner.
"Who knew Howard could run that far without passing out?" Raj adds in sarcastically.
Howard was oblivious to these remarks as he was hot on Bernadette's heels, shouting up to her constantly in hopes of getting her attention.
Unfortunately, the engineer failed to account for his own momentum as Bernadette had chosen to turn back towards the couch, having heard her name being called.
Which results in Howard crashing right into Bernadette's foot, sending him crashing back down onto his back.
Feeling the tiny impact he had made against her foot. Bernadette looks down and sees Howard laying there next to her foot.
But does she see think he is a bug? Or does her expertise in microbiology help to recognize her boyfriend at his new tiny size?
