You glance at Ryan with a sense of nervousness, anger, and helplessness.
"Ryan! You can't just change whatever sport I'm playing just because you don't agree with it!" you shout in protest. "I'm a football player and that's the sport that I'm playing right now and there is nothing you can do about it! I love football!"
"Football is dangerous and I don't want to see you getting injured. And, from now on, you're a soccer player! You've always been a soccer player and you love soccer! You're the star player on the soccer team for our school! In fact, you're wearing your uniform right now!" Ryan stated with authority.
Suddenly, you blinked! You had no memory of ever playing football or having friends on the football team or ever even trying on the uniform. Your shorts and t-shirt vanished and were replaced by white long athletic socks, red shorts and a thin red jersey with a number on it and your name embroidered on the back. Lastly, you were wearing expensive Adidas soccer cleats on your feet.
Next, you feel your body growing a few inches taller again, and the muscles in your legs are growing from spending all those hours in the gym, along from many hours running and jogging. Your calves are as big as softballs and your quads are big and thick and solid.
Your mind fills up with all the coolest soccer skills and tricks, just as a black-and-white soccer ball materializes right at your feet. You pick up the ball and dribble it using your knees and the side of your feet like its almost second nature to you. You absolutely love soccer! You have mad soccer skills and you possess the sick ability to make that ball go wherever you want by using your magic feet!
As you look around your bedroom, which you share with Ryan, all your football posters morph into posters of soccer heroes and pro players. Your shelf of football trophies vanish and the trophies morph into soccer medals and trophies, one-by-one. Amazing! Your whole life history had just been rewritten, thanks to Ryan!
"Hey, Ryan! Do you want to come and watch my soccer game? We're playing against Lincoln High School tonight and I know for sure we'll beat them!" you say to your brother excitedly.
Ryan stares at you with a wide grin on his face.
"Sure, Patrick. I'm so glad you're into soccer. Football games are long and boring. Soccer matches are over in 90 minutes are they're far more fun to watch! And they're less dangerous!" he said.
"Well, I got you free tickets since I'm the team captain!" you beam with pride as you pull the tickets out of your pocket. "I just have to be there early!"
"Thanks, Pat" Ryan smiled, as he took the tickets from you. "I'm looking forward to the game already!"
