Chapter #5
Steadily growing Wolverine

A month has passed and Wolverine had gained at least ten pounds. Despite all his efforts he couldn't get rid of the excess weight. He was still toned and heavily muscled, but his abs were slowly being covered up by his steadily expanding waistline. Logan was currently finishing his normal exercise routine.
"... Hopefully I can shed this weight. I know I shouldn't worry, but something feels off. It's like my body is somehow changing. Could it be that I'm going through a secondary mutation? If that's the case then why now?" Logan said to himself.
It was another summer day. Most of the students have returned home and many of the X-men were leaving for vacation. The only ones left at the X-mansion besides Wolverine were Charles Xiaver, Hank McCoy, his clone and adopted daughter, Laura Kinney, and some of the new students that enrolled a month ago. Logan quickly showered and changed into a clean set of clothes. With nothing happening he might as well relax before he trains some more. Just as Logan was heading to the kitchen for some food he noticed one of the new students reading a book. The student was a ten year old girl named Nora Spectrum. She was recently taken in last month when her powers developed. She was an orphaned girl whose parents had died in a terrible car crash. Left with no immediate family to take her in she was promptly placed in a foster home. Her last foster home decided somewhere that could deal with her "condition".
Ever since her parents passed Nora started see people's auras.That coupled with her enigmatic nature turned away many potential families. Now she's starting to fit in new home despite being somewhat withdrawn.
"Hello Mr. Logan. It seems that aura is in a state of flux."
Logan looked at the girl and smiled. Nora's hazel eyes glowed and her platinum hair blew briefly over her eyes as she looked at the distressed hero.
"I'm fine Nora." Logan replied.
"Your aura doesn't tell me that. I can see a mixture of confusion and frustration. Have you asked Chase? He's currently studying in the library."
Logan sighs before replying.
"I'll think about it Nora."
"Ok, but if you need someone to talk to Mr. Logan any of us here are available."
Logan grins and heads into the kitchen. He prepares a couple of burgers and a bowl of chips. As he eats Logan enjoys some television. He quickly scarfed up his food and headed back to the kitchen. He then proceeds to clean them before he resumes his training. Before he could make his way to the Danger Room someone calls out to them.
