Yugi’s breakfast was uneventful and rather plain, a bowl of cereal and some milk. Grandpa was busy setting up shop already, so Yugi didn’t get to talk with him until he was finished cleaning his plate off and was almost out the door. “Ah, Yugi, you’re finally up. Where are you going?“ he simply asked, while polishing the glass countertop he usually stood behind.
“Oh, I’m going to hang out with Joey today, Grandpa. Hope you don’t mind....” Yugi responded. Grandpa just nodded in acknowledgment. “That’s fine, but don’t forget to do your chores when you come home, okay?” “Okay.” was Yugi’s response. “Later, Grandpa!” And with that, Yugi stepped out the door, and made his way down to Domino Park.
