You were taken aback by what Tara said. You knew that she, Sasha, and the others would have to be from some other planet. You didn't expect her to say that they were from another universe.
"A... another what?" you barely manage to say.
"Yeah, I know. It's a lot to take in." she says
"A lot?" you think. "This is freakin' bizarre!"
"Okay," you say. "So if you guys are originally from another universe, how did you get here?"
"Well, in our universe, there were reports of random dimensional holes appearing." Tara explains. "They appeared in a different place every time, but nobody was reported missing."
"So that explains how you guys got here." you say, finally starting to understand a little.
"Yeah." she said. "Prior to the incident, none of us knew each other, although Sasha and Vicky seemed to have some history. We just happened to be in the same place at the time the hole opened. We were just minding our own business when it hit, then it sucked us in and we all wound up landing on Earth on this farm, where your uncle was living, except for Vicky, who landed near a cave less than a mile away."
"So how did my uncle react to the fact that six furries were at his doorstep?" you ask.
"He was a little shocked at first, but he quickly warmed up to us." she says. "You're a lot like him, you know. Only younger. You're 21, right?"
"Yeah." you say. "If I knew that my uncle was so muck like me, I would've visited him more often."
"We all missed him after he died, but..." she says. "At least we have you now." Tara hugs you again, her tail still wrapped around you. Then she says something that totally takes you by surprise.
