The air duct strecthed in front of you, a single, dark passageway. For a moment you were afraid. Then you gathered yourself. You were Robin, the leader of the Teen Titans. The dark was your ally. As you crept along the dusty metal, you couldn't help but wish for your friends -- but you knew they had to keep Jump City safe. You absent-mindedly touched the powerful recording device Cyborg had made. This was a reconnaissance mission. The HIVE Five might be in contact with someone more powerful. If they were, bad things would happen.
Up ahead, a grate let through bars of light. You consulted the map. Not Jinx's room. It had to be Jinx's room. She was the only HIVE villain who had ambitions, and thus the most likely of them to let something slip. The next vent would open up to Jinx's room. You climbed on top of the bed. On the side table, a drawing pad was left resting next to a pencil. You never took her for the unicorn type, but there it was, a big picture only half colored. Then the doors opened with a loud DING! In walked Jinx, who didn't see you, sat down on the other side of the bed, and began to draw. Now came the part you dreaded; somehow, you had to get inside Jinx's butt.
You still remembered the giggling of everyone when Starfire gave the idea. She defended it, though, enough to make even you appreciate the logic behind it: if you were going to come back, the fine-tuned machine had to be put in an area that wasn't visible to the casual observer or thoroughly examined daily -- a cavity or orifice of some sort; the mouth was out of the question; the machine might cause static feedback in Jinx's ears, tantamount to yelling "Something is wrong!" as loudly as possible; and all it would take is one runny nose to render all the machine useless; furthermore, the butt was the least sensitive area of all the alternatives. All you had to do was put it in a place where it could avoid being destroyed by Jinx's wastes.
You could aim for her butt now, or risk going into her dresser, getting some sleep, and getting put on in the morning. Which will it be?
