..............two kids standing in the doorway. They look to be about freshmen in high school. Both are female. Twins.
They jump back in shock.
"You scared us!" one of them said, "Who are you?"
You explain how you were lost at sea (neglecting the tickle torture from the squid) and were trying to find your way around.
The girls exchange glances and smile at each other.
"My name's Sarah," one of the girls says, "and this is my twin sister Serena."
"Nice to meet you both."
"We were just exploring this place and seeing if anyone was on the beach. Wanna come down to the beach with us? We need help with something."
You look over at the darkening sky on the horizon and motion out to it.
Both girls peek their head out and look.
"Don't worry about that," Serena quipped, "it's been doing that every night for the past week. The storm always pushes past us before it hits shore. Come down to the beach with us!"
"I don't know."
"C'mon," Sarah whined, "it'll be for a real quick experiment. We have the first full moon of the month tonight."
"What happens then?"
"You'll see when we go down to the beach," Serena said, "and in return for helping us, we'll give you directions how to get to town. Deal?"
Sighing, you agree to accompany them.
Both girls come out from the lighthouse. Both are dressed in their bathing suits and have a beach towel over their arm. They lock arms with your and walk with you to the beach.
Soon you feel the cool sand beneath your bare feet as you hop down from the sea wall. Sarah and Serena hop down as well.
"Ok," Serena said, grinning at her sister, "now the experiment begins."
