Daphne, being as headstrong as she is, got tired of waiting for the guys to finish with all of their snacks and other antics. "Enough of this foolishness!" she thought. "I'm going to explore this place on my own!".
Wandering out of the old house that they had come upon in the fog, she was strangely drawn down a hill, and into the woods. Shortly, she came upon a grouping of rocks that seemed to call to her. Daphne carefully approached it, only to see a weird, green glow coming from the center. As she kneeled down to investigate, she was suddenly overcome with a thick green fog that almost made her feel like she was floating. As she continued to stare at the rocks, a green light arose that grew in intensity, until it was floating in front of her face and the size of a basketball.
"Do not be alarmed!" said a voice emanating from the hypnotic light. "You have been chosen to receive a great gift! An amulet that will allow you to do things you never thought possible!" Daphne felt something hanging around her neck. When she looked down, she saw a green glowing amulet, with the same hypnotic color and pulsing as the ball of light in front of her.
"However, to earn the right to use this gift, you must prove your worth by unlocking its secrets on your own. Farewell!"
With that the light and green fog lifted. The only thing remaining of this experience was the amulet hanging around Daphne's neck.
"I wonder what this thing does?" she thought. "Oh well, one way to find out!" She grasped the amulet and concentrated until a book, a manual if you will, appeared in her minds eye, giving her the secrets to the device. "Oh WOW! I've GOT to try this out!" she cried out.
