Mt. Dragneel's Lunchtime

    by: Dark_Lord Author IconMail Icon
“I’m kinda hungry.” Natsu mutters as he scratches his growling abdominals. As he recalled, the fight between Gray and him broke out just before he was going to sit down to have some grub. He hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast and he was starving! “Alright, lunchtime!” Natsu marched over to the “kitchen”, a small corner of his house that was decorated with several kitchen supplies. The Fairy Tail mage approached his small refrigerator and took a peek inside. As he was doing this, the tiny shrunken Gray was busy scaling up Natsu’s black waistcoat.

“I can’t believe this happened,” Gray whispered under his breath as he grabbed handful after handful of the thick black material that made up Natsu’s clothing. “What was that fool thinking using such a dangerous magic?!” Gray took a deep breath and tried not to let himself panic. Sure, Natsu had shrunken him to a pathetically small size and humiliated him even more. Sure, Natsu was oblivious to him and could probably crush him without even realizing it. However, Gray was not a quitter! He would not let himself be overcome with fear and hopelessness. His chances may be small, but if Gray could just get the giant hot head’s notice then maybe he could get back to normal. It was far more likely Natsu would take advantage of the situation and do terrible, TERRIBLE things to him, but at least he wouldn’t purposely kill him. Without knowing he was there, however, was a completely different story…

“Let’s see…” Natsu began fishing through the clustered fridge looking for something to eat. “Spoiled milk, rotten vegetables, fish bones, fish bones, fish bones…” Natsu sighed, thinking he wasn’t going to find anything. He would have to head back to town for lunch. Right before he was about to close the fridge, the pink haired teenager noticed a plate wrapped up with plastic. Natsu took out the plate and pulled back the plastic to reveal a mound of spaghetti. Natsu gazed at the pasta hungrily as some drool trickled down his lips. “This is…!” It was some of the spaghetti Lucy had brought over yesterday! She must of put the leftovers in the refrigerator after Happy and him got full. “This is perfect!” Natsu closed the fridge and carried the plate of spaghetti toward the sofas.

Meanwhile, the physically fit Gray was making great progress in his climb up the fire spitting titan. Without being able to put his hands together, Gray was unable to use Ice-Make Magic, but that hadn’t stopped the shrunken teen. He had made it to Natsu’s scarf and was quickly making his way up the white, checkered piece of cloth. Soon he reached the end and threw himself on top of the thick, white scarf. Gray was so tiny that he could rest his entire body on the rim of the scarf as if was a solid floor.

“It’s like…climbing a frickin mountain.” the exhausted Grey groaned. As he rested he watched the world go by as the titan he was riding walked on over to the middle of his home. Soon he came to a stop when he seated himself on one of the couches; the same couch Gray had knocked him into minutes before. The barechested ice wizard glanced over at Natsu’s massive, boyish face next to him as the giant looked down at something in his hands. Gray, however, could not see what it was from here. “Goddammit, Natsu. Look over here!” Gray cursed as he got to his feet and peeked inside the scarf where Natsu’s neck was. Preparing himself, Gray leapt toward Natsu’s normally hidden neck and placed his hands together in midair. “Ice-Make: Battle Axe!” A solid axe of ice appeared in Gray’s hands as he descended toward Natsu’s neck. When he was close enough the ice mage swung the axe down upon the giant’s flesh. The axe, which was smaller than a toothpick, shattered instantly upon connecting with Natsu’s skin. As the thousands of ice particles fell around Gray, the gnat-sized mage touched down on Natsu’s smooth neck and waited to see if their was any reaction.
