Naruto had dreamt about becoming Hokage his whole life, but once he finally achieved the position, it turned out to be considerably less glamorous than he expected, the paperwork he had to fill taking away a lot of time he could have spent with his family. Just recently he had incident involving one of his shadow clones puffing during the birthday party, and now his son Boruto was beyond angry at him, yet he still had to remain in office now that the Chuunin Exams were dawning near.
“Want some help with that?” suddenly said a voice from the door, which made Naruto look up as he exclaimed “Kakashi-sensei!”, as the previous Hokage had come to visit him. “I had expected you wouldn’t be enjoying this part of this job once you took my place”, said the masked man as he brought a box to his yellow haired pupil, “So how about you check this box while I do some papers for you?”. Kakashi hadn’t even finished the sentence before the 7th Hokage stood up from his table, taking the box and running away with it without a second of doubt, making the white haired man notice how he hadn’t changed after all these years.
Naruto wasted no time in going back to his home, which he noticed was empty outside of Boruto, who didn’t even want to talk to him. Opening the box, he pulled out a weird totem and some note besides it, taking to reading it to see what was it supposed to be. “It’s currently unknown what it does, guru who lend it for research wrote on the back something that could be useful”, so he turned around the paper to see what it said, “Te ef sihta dadyn ithtiw nostna ig?”. As soon as he spoke those words in that strange language, the Hokage felt his whole body in pain, as if everything compressed on itself, until he blacked out.
He was suddenly woken up by the feeling of tremors, making Naruto take a guard, only to notice that everything around him had changed, now the totem he had held between his fingers was gigantic in scale, standing as tall as a building. “The old man left again, huh” said an extremely booming voice, which the Hokage completely recognized, as looking as its source told him it was no other than his son Boruto, standing far taller than anything he had ever seen.
