Everything remains quiet for a moment

The breeze grew warmer.

No, that wasn't the breeze.

Keith immediately knew what was going on. He knew what was waiting for him when he opened his eyes again. He hoped that he could just close his eyes tighter and teleport somewhere else, but there was no escape. He shakily looked up and opened his eyes, coming face-to-massive-face with the girl he was being sacrificed to. Her eyes caught him off guard; they were an intense shade of amber. It clashed with the kind, mischievous expression on her face. She was laying down, arms folded, head close to the ground, like she was watching a ladybug in the grass.

That thought made Keith feel even smaller than he was. This whole exchange made him uncomfortable. He was like a doll to her. He knew it; she knew it. Sure, she could take her sweet time to do whatever it is she was going to do, but it felt like she was waiting for him to do something.
