"Er...jeez, I dunno..." You stammered, looking around nervously. How in the world were you going to get out of this one?
"Oh c'mon you big baby, it'll be fun." Rachel pushed.
"Well yeah, for you...I mean, um..." You racked your brain, "Maybe we could grab some breakfast first or something? And play later?"
"You're just coming up with excuses. If you don't want to play just say so." She curled her lips, making you shudder a bit. Before any more words could be exchanged though, you were both interupted by a sound from the hallway.
Olivia poked her head into the room, hands fixing the hair tie on her braid.
"Mornin guys," She said, still looking a little sleepy. "What's going on?"
"Oh nothing. I want to play Mario Kart, but butt-face over here doesn't want to." Rachel jerked her thumb towards you.
"Hey wait, I didn't say-" You started.
"Oooh, sounds fun. I'll play." Olivia said, suddenly perking up and sneaking a sly look towards you.
"Man, good thing for you 'Liv, or I'd never have any fun." Rachel said, giving a light laugh, "What do you say we make it interesting?"
"Yeah?" Olivia asked, "How interesting?"
You suddenly felt your stomach jump up to your throat.
"How about whoever wins gets to shrink twerp-o for the day?" Rachel could hardly contain shrewd smirk.
"I like it! Done deal!" Olivia took a seat by the television.
"What? That's not fair!" Your desperation cracked your voice.
Rachel turned to look at you, and shrugged dramatically, feigning powerlessness. "Sorry little brother, you had a chance to play, but you gave it up. Nothing I can do about it." She visably grinned while turning around to set up the game.
Fantastic. This situation went completely out of your control in about two seconds.
...Or did it? Maybe you could distract one of them, so that the other would win. But how do you choose between Hell #1 and Hell #2? Well, if you were going to have any power before being powerless, now would be the time to excersise it.
You gripped a throw pillow in your hand. Who will you throw it at?
