You don't know why you always chose Erika to do these things on, you surmised it was a power thing or because she didn't want you to. You always felt excited when you thought of the things you could do with or to her, even though she was your sister. There wasn't any physical attraction to her herself though, you were siblings after all. You knew this for certain when you had changed her back into a human after turning her into a bat, animals didn't wear any clothes after all. So you had seen her adult body, fully naked and it did nothing for you other than wish she wasn't your sister.
That's probably the main reason she was mad at you, that and needing to eat bugs. That whole affair had been bad, once you finally got her back to her human form, she still had to eat bugs for a few days and all her hair had fallen out, it had to grow back naturally. She got rather sick and should've gone to hospital but you managed to stabilize her. You would've wiped her mind had you not experimented on a blocker that ended up making her immune to it. You had to make yourself immune from memory wipes to protect yourself and how were you meant to know if it didn't work if you erased your own memory. You did have to erase your parent's minds of the Bat incident though as your dad was extremely mad and even you mother couldn't support what you had done. All in all the transmorpher was a bad idea, it took up too much power and was dangerous to revert people. You kept it around just in case though.
Your new machine wasn't as good as the transmorpher in terms of capabilities but it used up less juice and could still change living beings to other living beings. You based the technology off your memory loader, it is even used in the machine. The difference is though it completely rewires the brain, so it switches the thought patterns and behaviors as well as swapping memories. You couldn't get the same affect by wiping Erika's mind and putting your memories on top... you had tried that. It wasn't 'you' who entered her body it was Erika who had your memories instead of her own, so she still acted like herself.
Your Body Switching machine only needed to rewire memories and personalities for the most part, not all functions of the mind could be swapped over or needed to, such as speech or motor skill, so hypothetically you were capable of using this machine on a smaller or less complex brains, like animals.
There was so much testing to do, and as for the precautions, you would be scanning the brain pattern as well as memories when you went to swap someone. You probably could just rewire Kyle's brain to think he was Erika without making Kyle, Erika. A sort of one way swap. But when you wanted to switch them back, you would prefer Erika would have the experience of being Kyle. So two way swaps were more fun. Still you'd consider that option for later. You amused yourself at the thought of everyone in your family claiming they were the real Erika.
But for now it was time to use it for your intended use. You'd be using the pods over the core as your portable mode you had only made it so the person holding it would swap with their target, you couldn't swap two completely different people at a distance. Erika would be your first subject, like always, and so you once again grabbed your cloaking device and command crown and entered Erika's room. You ordered into the pod before you swapped her with...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
