"Sorry.... Dad. I'll go to bed as soon as I clean up this mess." Lena lies.
"OK, good. I'll help-"
"I'm fine, you should just get back to bed."
Your dad doesn't argue, and does just as Lena asked. When he's gone, Lena pulls you out from behind her back and rests you on a stool.
"Just breathe, Luke. In and out. In and out. and when you're ready, stretch your body out, and visualize being human again."
You follow Lena's instructions and breathe until you regain your composure. You stretch as much as you can, and-
Poof!
You're so relieved to see human legs and arms, that you stand up and do a twirl. Your dress raises up and spins with you. You raise a leg and do a facsimile of a ballet pose. Even though you've changed back to a humanoid form, your body still feels as light as it had when you were a bat. You do a slight hop, and you nearly bang your head on the roof, but you land back on your feet without a sound.
"Why didn't you tell me you were a vampire?" you ask Lena.
"You just had a panic attack when you found out. If you even believed me, you might have tried to kill me.It's not easy to trust people who think I'm a monster."
"That's fair," you respond. "Well, uhh. Test successful! I guess I've made two huge discoveries tonight!"
"You're not calling it quits already, are you? I want to be able to play in the sun for once. Let me stay in your body for the day."
