You notice two people inspecting the machine. One appeared to be a boy, and the other a girl.
"Excuse me!" you yell, "What are you two doing down here?"
They jump up, and turn towards you. The boy you recognize as David Marshall, your neighbor that lives about four or five houses down the road. He is sixteen, with short brown hair, and a pale skin color. He stands around 5'8" and is pretty skinny. The girl you did not know.
"Oh, Hey! What's up, David?" you say as if you were in your own body.
"Uh... nothing much, Mrs. Schroeder, Luke told me it was okay to come in and check out his new invention..." David says, feeling a little confused and weirded out by 'Mrs. Schroeder,' "Is that okay with you, Mrs. Schroeder?"
You realize that you need to pose as your mother. "Oh... uh-hem... why, yes David, you may. Who's your friend here?"
"This is Jessica, she just moved in across the street from me."
You were stunned. She might have been the prettiest girl you've ever seen with your own eyes, and they weren't even your own eyes. You were never good with girls. You never had any confidence to go up and talk to a girl. In fact, you have never held a true, friendly conversation with a girl outside of your family. But, as your mother, you had a new found confidence to talk to Jessica.
"What's your last name, Jessica?"
"Smith," she replies with a cute smirk.
"Smith?" you ask, "Are you related to anyone around here, because there are a lot of Smith's!"
"Actually, I'm not." She answers.
You feel proud of yourself for talking a girl, and a pretty one for that matter. You felt comfortable in your own skin... sorta. You two were having a wonderful little conversation, and it carries on for another minute or so.
"Alright, Jess, let's try to figure out what this thing is," Dave butts in.
You then remembered the machine, and your need to get out of your mother's body. But, you also want to get to know Jessica better.
