The Old Highways of Satellite are never silent. There’s always a Turbo Duel, a Race or a Time Attack going on or just an adrenaline junkie looking for some cheap thrills shooting through the worn-down elevated roads of the run-down city. And today was no different. But among the various Duel Runners speeding along and smashing into the roads, there were two that stood out. Barreling down the straightaways of the Old Highways, were a red arrow-like Duel Runner, and a while Uniwheel Duel Runner. These were Duel Runners of Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlus, the Yusei Go And Wheel of Fortune, respectively. A simple Race was what was taking place between them.
“Better watch out, Yusei. I, Jack Atlus, The Master of Faster and his Wheel of Fortune, won’t settle for second place. I’m gonna pass you.” Jack declared boldly.
Yusei chuckled. “Pass me? Not with how you handled those corners, Jack. I left you in the dust back there!”
“And we seem to be neck and neck now, Yusei.”
“Just wait, Jack. With the route we’re racing, you’ll soon be stuck in second.”
“Only if I slow down, and I only slow down, if I break down.”
Yusei smirked and focused on the road. “Better think fast, or you’ll break your body!” With that, he swung right then straightened out, no longer right beside Jack, and then hit the brakes on the Yusei Go, slowing down to watch Jack speed ahead, swerve to dodge a different Race going the other way, and then scrape the Wheel of Fourtune along the concrete barrier. He hoped that Jack wasn’t also scraping his knee along the concrete as well, that would really, really, hurt. He sped up to dash past Jack, passing him and the Racers, and soon spotted where he wanted to go: a turn off to another highway. “There we go.” He leaned right and turned, and shot down the turn off, onto the other highway.
