The Old Highways of Satellite are never silent. There’s always a Turbo Duel, a Race or a Time Attack going on or just an adrenaline junkie looking for some cheap thrills shooting through the worn-down elevated roads of the run-down city. And today was no different. But among the various Duel Runners speeding along and smashing into the roads, there were two that stood out. Barreling down the straightaways of the Old Highways, were a red arrow-like Duel Runner, and a while Uniwheel Duel Runner. These were Duel Runners of Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlus, the Yusei Go And Wheel of Fortune, respectively. A simple Race was what was taking place between them.
“Better watch out, Yusei. I, Jack Atlus, The Master of Faster and his Wheel of Fortune, won’t settle for second place. I’m gonna pass you.” Jack declared boldly.
Yusei chuckled. “Pass me? Not with how you handled those corners, Jack. I left you in the dust back there!”
“And we seem to be neck and neck now, Yusei.”
“Just wait, Jack. With the route we’re racing, you’ll soon be stuck in second.” “Only if I slow down, and I only slow down, if I break down.”
Yusei smirked and focused on the road. “Better think fast, or you’ll break your body!” With that, Yusei swung right then straightened out, no longer right beside Jack, and then hit the brakes on the Yusei Go, slowing down to watch Jack speed ahead, swerve to
Confused, Jack turned his eyes to the road, and then yelled and swerved to dodge a different Race occurring on the same stretch of road. He rammed the side of the Wheel of Fortune into the highway barrier in his haste to dodge, and screamed (half in horror, half in rage)as he hear the sound of metal scrape against concrete. Turning to swerve back into the middle of the road very quickly, he cut the other Duel Wheels off, causing them to brake suddenly. Up ahead, he saw Yusei turn-off onto another highway, and he scowled harder then he had before.
“Nobody, not even my friends, makes me damage my Duel Runner...And gets away with it! YUSEI!!!!!! I’M COMING FOR YOU!” he screamed, now as mad as when Crow stole his Cup Ramen. He turned the Wheel of Fortune towards the same turn-off Yusei had used and gunned the throttle of the Wheel of Fortune, hot on Yusei’s trail.
