The remote has a glitch and shrinks both of them.

Suddenly, the remote vibrates in Alex's hands. "Crap, this toy works with batteries?" He nervously laughs.

Melody stares at him, her brother seemed to be worried.

"Don't worry, it's just this thing hasn't stopped, yet." He says. "It's odd, like if it is really going..." Before he could finish his sentence, a ray came out of the device and struck Melody.

"Mel, are you okay?" Alex tries to hold the remote, which still was vibrating.

"Yeah, I'm okay." She puts a hand on her forehead. "Maybe it's just a light effect the toy has." She then disappeared and her clothes fall on the ground.

"Melody!?" Alex was shocked and without paying attention, another ray was shot and hit him, too. In a few seconds, the teenager's sight turns black and he passed out.

"Alex, Alex." The teenage boy regains conscious. "Please, I don't want to lose you, wake up." He opens his eyes and sees a sobbing Melody.

"What happened?" Alex asks.

"Thank god, you are okay." Melody calms. "Turns out that stupid thing was really a shrink ray." She cleans the tears in her eyes.

"I can't believe it." He responds. "And where is it?" Alex still tries to focus.

"About that, there's some good news and bad news." His little sister comments. "The good news is we are fine." She stops.

"And the bad news?"

"Well, you dropped the remote and it's broken now." Melody tries to say it the best way possible. "Our clothes didn't shrink, so this awkward, you know." She blushes. "And..."

"And?"

Melody sighs.
