Your name is Mark Simpson. You've just sold your latest internet business. It sale earned you a healthy profit. The down side is that despite the rather good prenuptial you had you had to share some of it with your now ex-wife. She didn't get nearly as much as she wanted and you're left with millions. You're in rather decent shape, a millionaire, and single. You should be feeling on top of the world, but you're not. You're instead sitting alone in your big house alone. For a minute you contemplate maybe looking on eHarmony, or some other site, but dismiss the thought quickly. You've tried three times now to find the perfect woman, someone to share your life with, and three times you've struck out. In hindsight they were all bad choices. The last one was the worst. She left you for your secretary that suddenly decided she wanted to be a man. "I'll never understand women", you mutter. You blame yourself mostly. You were never home to see it. Never home to spend time with any of them. To be honest that was on purpose. They were demanding and weird with their mood swings. You never knew what you were coming home to.
You decide to get out of the house. You jump into your Mercedes SL65 AMG and head out for a drive. The car was going to be your latest wife's birthday present, but things changed. You take a drive down to the beach and get out for a walk. You wanted it to be relaxing, but instead you see couples walking hand in hand. "What do they know that I don", you ponder? You can turn a failing business into a success in a matter of a few months, write code for complex computer systems that would baffle others, but when it comes to understanding women you're an utter failure. You think back to high school and college. You were a shy geek back then. It wasn't until you made your first million that you gained the confidence to even ask a girl out. Though looking back it wasn't that hard after they figured out you were rich. You realize that is where the problem is. You never really had to go through the things other guys did. In school you avoided girls instead of trying and failing until you found out to make things work. You sigh realizing the truth of it is that despite your money and age when it comes to women you're still that inexperienced geek in high school. You toy with the idea of just buying a small house in the suburbs and pretending to be a normal guy with a median income. You dismiss that thought with, "The problem is not them it's me. Until I understand women it won't work no matter how much money I have".
