"A... tank top?" Jay asked, curiously. It wasn't that he wasn't grateful to get it, the kindhearted boy would have been happy with any reward, it was just that... while it wasn't the type of thing he'd normally wear. JJ was, without a shadow of a doubt, a geek. Skinny arms, an ugly face and not a muscle in sight, he was nowhere near the buff jocks who would normally be seen wearing a tank top. Lei looked down at the tank top and gave a soft smile "I am sorry Joe, I just noticed that you had sweat through your shirt and thought perhaps you could use a fresh shirt." She said. JJ was too touched by the old woman concern to truly be upset with the uncharacteristic gift, and smiled back "Thank you ma'am." he said. Quickly he stripped off his old shirt and placed on the tank top. Normally he would never take his shirt off in front of someone, but Lei made him feel comfortable. He smiled at her as he placed it on. It was actually shockingly comfortable, and felt like silk on his sore bones. Lei smiled back at the boy, before glancing at the clock "Oh my, where does the time fly. I'm afraid you must get going, otherwise you'll miss dinner! I'd offer to cook for you myself but I'm afraid these old bones aren't up to the task." Lei said kindly. Seeing the time, JJ ran off, yelling out an apology to Lei as he left in a hurry. Lei smiled and shook her head. What a sweet boy. She truly hoped he liked her gift...
