Toby held you cupped in both his hands as he walked down the path to his house, after sitting on his palms for awhile Toby's skun began to feel less weird and more smooth. Luckily his house was in the forest so there was a low chance he come across another anthro.
Eventually he had arrived at a two story house which showed some signs of decay but it wasn't too bad. After opening the door toby placed his hands on a desk near the door, taking this as a hint you walked off his hands to the desk. As soon as you were off toby bent down and began to undo the laces to his boots before slipping them off, revealing his two toed webbed feet and putting the shoes by the door.
"Sorry I kinda cleaned up the house and didn't want to dirty it". He said as he stood up
You couldn't help but smile at his modesty.
"It's alright"
Your stepped onto his waiting palm as he walked into the house to a door on the wall. Behind the door you could hear faint noises .
With his other hand he knocked on the door before speaking.
"Granddad I'm home can I talk to you for a moment".
The noise soon went silent as he weird a voice reply.
"Sure come on down".
Opening the door you saw stairs that led to a basement. You were a little nervous and toby seem to notice as you looked at him he gave a resuring smile before walking down into the basement. When he reached the bottom you looked around and saw a study which had book on the table and floor and soon saw another toad sitting at a computer. The toad was a darker shade of green then toby and had a botten up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and brown pants you also notice he had some gray hair and wasn't wearing shoes either.
Toby must of made his take them off.
As he walked towards the older toad his fingers curled around you as he brought his hand behind him, you guess he didn't want to surprise him.
Toby stood still as Grandpa turned around getting ready to show his grandfather what he had told him his whole life had exist. He remembered he was always gentle to the specimens he showed to toby and was sure he would with a human as well.
"So what did you want to talk about"? Grandpa said.
"We'll remember all the stories you've told me about the humans"
"Yeah why"
Toby brought his hand from behind his back before opening his hand up revealing jake who looked up
Grandpa looked surprised , taking of his glasses and rubbing his eyes before putting them back on and looking at you.
"I found him today and he told me that he is a human"
"Ummm hello I'm jake"
Grandpa was silent before he grinned and started to laugh.
"I I i.. can't believe a real life human in front of me".
He dropped to his knees so his face was in front of you.
"Hello my name is stan".
"Nice to meet you", you replied.
Stan brought his hands up together and touched his fingers to Toby's. Hesitantly you steeped onto his wrinkly webbed hands all the while stan kept looking in wonder at the creature he heard so much about standing on his hands.
Soon he brought his hands over to toby and you walked back on to his palm before toby spoke.
"He's lost and I was hoping you could in anyway help"
"I have knowledge on the human species but tell me jake what events occurred before you met toby."
You then told all you knew with finding the stone and then suddenly waking up before toby and also said you lost the stone. Taking this in stan soon stood up and walked up to a bookcase before scanning through and pulling out a book and opening and reading it.
"It's was believed that a stone created millenniums ago could serve as a gateway to another world".
"I remember when I was Toby's age I saw a human as well however he disappeared before I could talk to him".
"So this is how he knows about humans". You thought
"Don't worry intill the stone can be found yu can stay here."
"Thank you"
Toby soon walked up to his room thinking about everything that happened today but tomorrow could hold so much more but now it was time for bed
Using a handkerchief as a makeshift bed for jake he moved his hand to put jake down but first he spoke.
"Hey thanks you for uhh helping me today".
Toby smiled and soon brought his hand up to his chest and gently hugged jake.
Now it was time for bed and as you fell asleep....
