Chapter #7

Take care of the rest of the moving in crap

    by: Unknown
Paige marshals his composure and reminds himself, the last thing a woman likes is a guy who comes on too strong. A little bit of hard to get never hurt any guy's chances of eventually hitting paydirt.

"Sorry, Jenny. I'd love to stay and chat, but I really should be going. I'll be back for orientation, so I guess I'll see you then," Paige said, playing it cool.

"No you won't, Mr. Lauren. Orientation is for the new hires only. Why, I remember my orientation meeting 3 years ago. My how time flies!," Jenny said, before gazing down at her nails. They were trimmed short for typing, but still were glossy and well-tended.

"How exclusive," Paige said, before saying his goodbyes.

Out on the street Paige was surprised by the near total lack of men around. Almost every person he passed was a woman. Some of them pushed strollers or walked toddlers by the hand, many of them very clearly well on the way toward adding yet another member to their families. And all of them very pretty.

Paige paused at the street corner, getting his bearings. A dark haired lovely young girl appeared at his side, waiting with him for the light to turn.

"Is every woman in this town gorgeous? And where are all the men?," Paige said, abruptly.

The woman just giggled. "The men are all at work, silly," the dark haired girl said.

How very old-fashioned, Paige thought to himself. Oh well, just means more bored housewives for him.

You have the following choices:

1. Paige Moves in, Gets Keys from Landlord

*Noteb*
2. Paige sits in the Park and Waits for Orientation

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
