Chapter #1End of one but choosing another. by: kamper She wasn’t going to last much longer. She had lived for thousands of years and now it was her turn to pass on the gift or curse to the next generation. The gift was called many things over the ages and before her time. The most common term now was ‘Vampire’. However, there was so much fiction surrounding it that there was hardly any truth to it. For starters she was and would be the only Vampire to walk the world while she remained a Vampire. There was not turning her victims and as long as she had this gift she wouldn’t be able to have children. There was no way to find companionship that would last as long as she has and did and that was what made this gift a curse. She had worked hard in developing a mythic and fictions base to surround her gift to protect whoever she handed it off to.
Her name was Isibelle and she was at the end of her long life. One could only be the ‘Vampire’ for a period of 2100 years before their flesh and bone turned to ash and the gift/curse would transfer randomly to the next life form, human or animal. For this reason she needed to find someone that was worthy of the gift. She had been watching someone ever since she knew this year to be her last. She was both dreading and eagerly awaiting her end. She had outlived countless lovers, husbands, adopted children and their families. She was tired but also hopeful for this new blood she had been associating with over the last few months and she knew that if there was anyone to pass the gift to it would be this person. Although young, the one in question was exactly what she was looking for to pass her gift and curse along.
This person is you but who are you???
Option 1) You are a young boy named Caleb, 12 years old. You had just entered Junior High at a private Christian school no more than 5 blocks from your home. Your family is a close and very loving family but also very strict morally. They have brought you and your 2 brothers and one sister up very well, according to other people that say how well mannered you are; going to church, helping out the elderly and you other relatives, and working for others for free to develop your character and work ethic. Despite not being very good at school and usually struggling to get a 2.0 GPA you and your family live happily and are content with life and loyal to each other.
Option 2) You are a young girl named Ashley, 11 years old.
Option 3) You are a young man named Broc, 17 years old. You are the Captain of the football team at your public school and Home Coming King 2 years in a row and hopefully making your junior year be the third. Your outside appearance is a very healthy, popular, prosperous guy that is out going and kind to the women in your life while rustic with the men. However behind the scenes your parents are grooming you to be the one thing that brings them out of their poverty. You are constantly beaten and thrown into activities that enhance yourself, sometimes more than you should. This makes you have a deep loathing toward them and hope to get away from your current life. However you are young and don’t really know what is in store for you. School is the one good thing in your life and your friends there are your life line, just as long as they don’t come to where you live you will be ok.
Option 4) You are a young woman named Andrea, 18 years old. You are the captain of the cheer squad at your public and very liberal school. You are in your senior year and, as far as school goes have a bright future ahead of you. Bright, beautiful, athletic, smart, outgoing, kind, and a sure winner for any bet one could make. However your home life is a literal hell hole. Your drunk father is always in his chair with a beer in his hand. Your mother constantly fills that beer in order to keep his hands off of you. However she feels you owe her for it so she lets you know in more ways than one. She knows you are looked over at school and is smart enough not to abuse you to make a mark that others can see. However that doesn’t stop her from abusing you in other ways and making an actual effort to make sure you don’t rise above what she has amounted to. Even to the point of sabotaging your school life, your one pride and joy. This area of your life has made you sympathetic to other kids that are down and otherwise picked on at school. While you are obviously popular and sought after at school, you make a strong effort to reach out and get to know the unpopular students that you would guess are in the same boat you are in but without your natural devices to get them out of it. It is just one of the many things that make you so attractive.
Option 5) This spot is for you to fill if you don’t see one you like above. However, since there are probably more than one option, make sure you leave at least one spot open for others to make a profile they can chose and write on.
