Making Preparations

by: evil dude Author IconMail Icon
You looked over the scope on a modified SMG and checked the clip before putting it back in its case. You had spent the last two hours overlooking weapons in your armory trying to find something to use on your newest contract. According to the intel you were given the guys you were after were a bunch of small time crooks who where paying off someone in the government to stay ahead of police raids.

At least, they started out small... now they were starting to buy their way into the big leagues with tons of counterfeit cash. Unfortunately for them the government got tired of them avoiding the law and hired you to put a stop to their little money making operation. After adjusting the silencer on a pistol you became frustrated and decided to head out into the garden for a bit to relax and clear your head.

There were hundreds of ways you could go about this assignment, but it was hard to know exactly what to expect. Most small jobs like this had about a dozen guards and maybe a couple heavies in body armor, but something about this one seemed somehow off. You weren't worried about running into trouble but not packing the right equipment could make things much harder. More than anything you wanted to get some of that counterfeit cash for yourself and if you didn't approach the situation just right you could end up losing that opportunity.

Stealth seemed like the best option, since it would prevent them from destroying or locking away the counterfeiter to spite you. On the other hand, taking everyone out silently could leave you with no one to help you access and make the counterfeit cash. It all depended on what they were using to counterfeit the money, where it was located and how secure it was. If it was just one or two guys doing it they'd probably be surrounded by armed guards, if it was a machine it was probably hidden or locked away somewhere.

You sip a glass of wine as you reflect on what information you had been given on the assignment. The location was a run down theater on the far end of Paris on a condemned city block that was due for demolition in a few weeks. The government had managed to get a last minute tip off to their location but they were already packing up to move, in another night they'd have gone to some new place. This job had to happen tonight or not at all.

Though it wasn't usually your style you figured you could just go the Rambo route and gun everyone down since it was such a small gang. Of course that posed a few risks you didn't like taking. On the other hand, the group might be big enough that going in under equipped with just a silenced handgun may prove difficult. One option would be to compromise with a versatile light weapon like a silenced SMG or a scoped revolver. You could also carry a small back up weapon if you need to.

After finishing your wine you decided on a plan of action and head back to the armory to grab some equipment and a proper weapon to do the job with. Once you have everything you would need you get into your limo and give the address to your driver. In just a few hours you would arrive... hopefully with the right plan of action to guarantee your success.
