Laura looked up and saw that above her was a full body mirror, so she could watch herself turn into a She-Blob? Regardless of how odd that decision was it was what she was doing, the ooze had reached the hypodermic needles and she was watching as her body began to balloon, the muscle her body had built up over her 23 years vanishing as it got buried beneath a rapidly growing layer of fat.
She was already starting to regret this, watching as everything blew up, her arms, cheeks, boobs, belly, legs. But before she could call out to make them stop an alarm sounded.
"What's going on?" She called, turning her gaze to the control panel where Dr Simmons was frantically attempting to do something.
"Simmons! What's going on?" Fury demanded.
"A power surge!" Dr Simmons exclaimed. "The control panel's shorted out."
"What does that mean?" Laura asked, a sinking feeling appearing in her now gargantuan gut; she could still feel fat being pumped in.
"The way this system works,it's effectively start pumping/stop pumping." Simmons said. "If I can't fix it the machine won't stop pumping fat into you until it's reservoir is empty!"
"And how much fat is in the reservoir?" Laura asked, panicked.
"When it's full, which it was, the reservoir has 2 tonnes of fat within it." Simmons said.
"2 tonnes." Laura whispered in horror. "This thing is trying to pump 2 F**king tonnes of fat into me?!"
"I-it's not as bad as it seems!" Simmons said weakly.
"How so?" Laura demanded.
"S.H.E.I.L.D has analysed your strength level, you won't be rendered immobile by 2 tonnes, it'd take a lot more than that." Simmons said. "You'll still be mobile, though less so, obviously, due to physical impediment."
"And I'll still weigh 2 tonnes!" Laura exclaimed.
"Actually it's more than that, at an estimate you were about a 110 pound girl before all this, minus the weight of the adamantium, so there's that as well."
"Get me out of this thing!" Laura exclaimed.
"We can't," Simmons said gesturing to the cable restraints attaching Laura to the gurney, "The restraints are Stark Nano-cable, made of Stark's proprietary synthetic vibranium, unbreakable, auto adjusting as you grow, the cables attaching to the needles are the same, they're all controlled by the CPU, which is following the last command it got, until I repair the control panel you'll keep growing, so shut up and let me work!"
Laura fell silent, turning to look up at the mirror, watching as she swelled bigger and bigger, wondering how long before Simmons fixes the control Panel.
Quick note: A US Ton is 2000 pounds, so the machine has 4000 pounds in it.
