You suddenly wake up. The first thing you do is reach down under the covers to check. No, luckily your accident was only in the dream. Your pajamas and sheets are still dry.
"What a strange dream" you say to yourself but try to forget about it as you shower and get ready. You do have a long bus ride ahead of you today and you hope that the dream was in no way prophetic.
"Good morning Daniel." your mother greets you. "Breakfast is almost ready."
You eat and say goodbye to your father as he leaves for work then your mother drives you to the bus station. After a long embarrassing hug goodbye she lets you climb into the bus.
You start walking down the aisle when you recognise one of the passengers. Susan was in your class at school and you had a bit of a crush on her. "Hi Daniel." she waves to you. "I wasn't expecting you see anyone from our class on this bus."
"Hi Susan." you reply. "Are you going to school in the city too."
"Yeah. I'm going to stay with my aunt." she says. "Come sit next to me. It'll be good to have someone to talk to."
You try to hide your excitement at the idea and, as casually as you can, sit in the seat next to her.
Soon, the driver starts the bus and you wave to your mother as you leave the station.
