"Nothing." you say, possibly a little too defensively. "I'm just waking up."
"Okay." she seems to accept that. "Well quickly have a shower and come have breakfast."
You shower and get ready then meet your parents at the dining table where they have already started breakfast.
You eat and say goodbye to your father as he leaves for work then your mother drives you to the bus station. After a long embarrassing hug goodbye she lets you climb into the bus.
You start walking down the aisle when you recognise one of the passengers. Susan was in your class at school and you had a bit of a crush on her. "Hi Daniel." she waves to you. "I wasn't expecting you see anyone from our class on this bus."
"Hi Susan." you reply. "Are you going to school in the city too."
"Yeah. I'm going to stay with my aunt." she says. "Come sit next to me. It'll be good to have someone to talk to."
You try to hide your excitement at the idea and, as casually as you can, sit in the seat next to her.
Soon, the driver starts the bus and you wave to your mother as you leave the station.
