Two towering titanesses passed through the yawning gateway on one side of the cavernous changing room. You recognized them immediately. Pink. Pink fabric clung tightly to Aliyah’s tan, toned frame as her sandal-clad feet beat the dingy tile floor. Pink hair whipped around Dakota’s shoulders as she walked with a bounce in her step, her black sneakers slamming into the ground with each bound. The pair were talking, but you couldn’t focus on the conversation. Your attention was brought lower. Ground level. Neither had noticed the bug-sized guest sharing the room with them and bounded over to the “occupied” half of the room.
You turned and started running for your life.
THOOM…THOOM…THOOM!
Looking over your shoulder, you saw the pair splitting up to take a locker on either side of the center bench. Aliyah took left and Dakota split to the right, still chattering away as their titanic feet drew closer…and closer…and closer!
THOOOOM!
Blown backwards, you tumbled head-over-heels as a massive wall of black rubber slammed down to your side. With a single footstep, Dakota’s colossal size 9 sneakers had displaced enough air to send your tiny body aloft. The landing was rough, knocking the wind out of you as you writhed like an injured bug on the floor, staring up at the harsh florescent lights overhead. Squinting, you tried to roll over, but your body wasn’t listening as every nerve ending screamed out in pain.
THOOOM…THOOOOM…THOOOOOOOM!
Your vision returned to you as something obscured the light above. No. Someone. Aliyah was dropping her bag off on the bench, and, to your horror, you looked up helplessly as….
