As Adam sucked on the candy, he continued to zone out into his own dreamworld. A world where Cassie cared about him just as much as he did no. No. Even more so! He wish deep down in his heart so badly the Cassie would have a love so pure and so strong that nothing in the world would matter except for the two of them. Ah young love. It can be such a beautiful and harmful thing. But instead of the harm coming from some pent up emotions or hurt feelings, it was going to cause a level of chaos that can only be achieved through magic.
Cassie, Tom, and Ashley were having a conversation about schoolwork when all of the sudden Cassie stopped mid-sentence and got a dazed look in her eyes. After a few moments she seemed to have snapped out of whatever trance she was in.
"Cassie, are you ok? You looked out of it for a second?" Ashley asked concerned.
"I'm I'm fine I just I I" Cassie still seemed to be gathering and comprehending all of the overwhelming thoughts running through her mind, "I just want to know what you are doing with Adam?"
"Adam?" Cassie seemed confused by the sudden subject change, "I'm just hanging out with him and Tom and you."
"Well...stop it! Now!" Cassie seemed to have snapped, she was starting to become downright abusive towards her friend, "And you too Tommy boy. Adam doesn't need anyone but me now!"
Adam snapped out of his daydream upon hearing his crush practically scream out his name. He stood up to go to the group to see what the fuss was about but by the time he got to them, Cassie was leaving and making a b-line right at him. "Come on Adam, we have to talk."
"Uh about what Cassie?" Adam said stunned.
"We're going to talk about us. And us alone." Cassie said grabbing Adam, practically dragging him away, all without breaking stride.
