Well, Matilda thought to herself, it looks like her friend was already gone, probably at the cafeteria having lunch. She could see all of her roommate's luggage on their bed, but she could not see her new mate for a year in the room. Just then, her stomach rumbled a bit, and she realized she hasn't ate since her breakfast quite some time ago, and after setting down her own luggage, went down to the cafeteria for lunch, hoping to have something good to eat.
At the cafeteria, Matilda noticed that there were quite a lot of fat and chubby girls surrounding the buffet. Not wanting to have her favorite foods grabbed by someone else, Matilda quickly got into the line and looked for something to eat. She noticed that the buffet was filled with various amounts of sweets, and to her each sweet looked fatter than the last. Just when she was getting worried that her favorite foods were gone, she noticed that at the end of the line, there was a big assortment of spicy foods, from chicken wings to jalapenos to burritos and lots of other spicy foods.
Since these foods were mostly untouched by the bigger students, Matilda decided to pile her plate with all of her spicy foods, and she put extra spices on her food to make it even tastier for her. She sat next to what looked like a chubby sophomore, and started eating her food. When she was done, she was stuffed and her belly was getting really warm from all the spices. Getting a bit bored from waiting for lunch to end, she decided to start a conversation with the friend she was sitting next to.
"Hey, my name is Matilda, Matilda Torres. What's your name?"
"Oh, my name is Hester Rhea. I see you have enjoyed your food" the chubby sophomore Hester said, poking Matilda' s full belly.
"Woah, that's embarrassing!"
"Relax, it's just a compliment. You seem like a nice girl, Matilda. Where's your room, so I can hang out with you?"
"Well, my room is A-21, but I'll be kinda busy studying from time to time, so you may not be able to visit sometimes."
"Hey, that's my room too! What a coincidence! I can't wait to see what your like."
"Ok. I hope we can become good friends." Matilda was a bit embarrassed about how Hester poked her belly after seeing how full she was, but if she was to be her roommate, she should probably be a fun person to hang out with. She would still have to study to succeed, considering that she barely got into here in the first place, but she could probably fit in time to spend with her new roommate.
