You took a good look around and noticed all the thick lush foliage and running waters around your location. There were some beautiful but weird looking flowers, but upon further observation, you placed them as Heliconia flower also know as the "hanging lobster claw" plant because of its brightly colored flowering cone shapes.
Now that you know you are in the jungle you can prepare to explore and find a place to set up shelter. Looking around you see a hole at the base of a tree and crawl in. It’s spacious and perfect to use as a home base. There is an ant hill near by, but it is a way( to you) off.
Climbing back out you need to gather something to eat to wait out the night fall you see is encroaching on the sky. You spot a few berries and grab one. It’s almost as tall as you, but still light enough to roll around. You are nearly to the hole in the trunk when it gets even darker. “Man I didn’t think it would darken so quickly. “ you mumbled to yourself as you turned back to finish, but you caught a glimpse of the sky, and slowly turned to see a huge shadow behind you.
It was an animal and it has yet seen you yet. At your current size you’d be seen as a bug or a tiny snack. Slowly crouching behind the berry, you assess the run to the hole, and the risk. A shake of the ground as you turning as the animal moves in your direction. Its eyes are focused on the berry as it comes closer. It moves through a shaft of light and you can see it is…
