She could at least carefully mention it, Twilight thought. The mayor is getting pretty desperate about the whole situation and Twilight had to admit she was kinda curious about the whole thing.
The next day she was standing in front of the mayors office. She was nervous about suggesting this kind of punishment for criminals but she couldn't back out of it. The whole thing was burned into her mind so she wasn't really thinking about other options until now. With a shaking hoof she knocked on the door and the mayor invited her inside.
"Ah Twilight Sparkle, let us cut to the chase, do you have any ideas how to fight the rising crime rate?"
Twilight gulped down a lump in her throat. "Well... there is the option of implementing harder punishment and I heard about the way Zebras do it. As far as I know the crime rate in the savanna is the lowest in the world."
Twilight decided to probe carefully so she can always back out before the mayor could send her to the loony bin.
"I am not familiar with the justice system of the savanna, could you please elaborate?"
This was the moment of truth Twilight thought, no turning back now. "In the Zebra lands criminals get... eaten."
Twilight regretted her words the instant they came out as the mayor stared at her with wide eyes.
